After some careless play in the Internet XAire defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonio Canal. The Internet XAire fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonio Canal should have stopped the shot. Antonio Canal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 16th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 20th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Canal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antonio Canal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After 27 played minutes Internet XAire got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Berger. Nicolás Valentini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 46th minute of play forced Internet XAire's goalkeeper Antonio Canal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 82 minutes, Serafin Beltxe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Internet XAire and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Internet XAire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafin Beltxe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonio Canal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Eikelkamp in the 87th minute of the match. A collision led to Internet XAire getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Raimundo Batista hit a great ball. After 93 played minutes Internet XAire got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Urki.
