Arnout Reekers was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Ennegren showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Valeriu Hoisie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 14th minute of the match. Valeriu Hoisie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Simon Gahnsby's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. FC Bodil United's Valeriu Hoisie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Valeriu Hoisie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Valeriu Hoisie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. In the 27th minute, Simon Gahnsby reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arnout Reekers. The goal made the score 2-1. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Valeriu Hoisie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valeriu Hoisie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Tomas Ennegren sent off a good shot on target. Valeriu Hoisie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars Meesters went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Kees Mooiweer got a throw-in 45 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gijsbert ter Kruimer. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fredrik Kvarnström during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Netherlands booed when FC Bodil United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredrik Kvarnström didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lars Meesters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Ennegren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 57 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Bodil United made a substitution. Ronny Jansson replaced Patrik Wallin. After 63 minutes of play, FC Bodil United's Wu Hao Xu made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Wu Hao Xu came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the FC Bodil United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wu Hao Xu couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute, Anders Engström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Ennegren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute, Tomas Ennegren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Wu Hao Xu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wu Hao Xu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. 91 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Lars Meesters sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valeriu Hoisie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, FC Bodil United's goalkeeper Valeriu Hoisie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. 96 minutes into the match, FC Bodil United's goalkeeper Valeriu Hoisie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Netherlands may have spent more time on the ball, but FC Bodil United were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
