The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 14th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Betadur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 15th minute. Fabio Betadur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antal Valentin went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Alonzo Gamus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Fodor Daniel made a huge save. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Alonzo Gamus sent off a good shot on target. Zhuo Sha Le kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Bastia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. LA DEL MONO's Fabio Betadur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 31st minute of play. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 32nd minute. Antal Valentin made a great header on Hungary's corner, it was just that LA DEL MONO's Fabio Betadur managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 46th minute of the match LA DEL MONO got a corner. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rigoberto Cordareo ran over to the corner to take the kick. LA DEL MONO were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Hungary's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rigoberto Cordareo took the corner. The corner ended in Rigoberto Cordareo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel did a great save. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antal Valentin to make the kick off. Fabio Betadur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Takacs Tibor, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Fabio Betadur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hegedus Henrik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. LA DEL MONO's Fabio Betadur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Takacs Tibor in the 59th minute of play. Henri Pesqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hegedus Henrik got free with Fabio Betadur in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tobias Bitxintxo kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Chap, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in LA DEL MONO's zone, Antal Valentin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Betadur came out of the goal and Antal Valentin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Major Barna took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Fabio Betadur to make any attempt to save it. In the 86th minute Alonzo Gamus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Antal Valentin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fabio Betadur. The goal made the score 1-3. In the 91st minute, Octavio Ospetsu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hungary played a much better game than LA DEL MONO and deserved their victory. The LA DEL MONO players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
