Juan Luis Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damian Majewski in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Wilson Amorim successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. GÓRNIK PSZÓW's Juan Luis Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 23rd minute of play. Juan Luis Carneiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viriato Moura's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Daniel Pimentel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Luis Carneiro having to interfere. The supporters of Portugal booed when GÓRNIK PSZÓW was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zenon Bubczyk didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Portugal's Felipe Barreto tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the game, Sharma Di Stéfano threw the ball into play from the sideline. Portugal's Bruno Bastos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 46 minutes of play, Portugal's Viriato Moura made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Luis Carneiro was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damian Majewski was the one to do the kick off. GÓRNIK PSZÓW's Juan Luis Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Graciano Coutinho in the 52nd minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Viriato Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, GÓRNIK PSZÓW's Juan Luis Carneiro got control of the ball when Felipe Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute of the game Sharma Di Stéfano made a throw-in which Jose Manuel López played forward. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Majewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Portugal's Caetano Moreira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juan Luis Carneiro. That made the score 3-3 after 61 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caetano Moreira got free with Juan Luis Carneiro in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. Sharma Di Stéfano hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Majewski in the 88th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Felipinho Amorim took a quick shot and it went in 3-4 without a chance for Juan Luis Carneiro to make any attempt to save it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Portugal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
