Netherlands's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Roman Chucho scored to the left of an out of position Arnout Reekers, making the score, 1-0. With an all-out effort, Cremonese's Arnout Reekers threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roman Chucho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 27 minutes into the match, Roman Chucho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Cremonese's Jeremias Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 39th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Eikelkamp during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
