CD Municipal's Sagrario Paniagua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Peletier in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Robert Chapuis notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of CD Municipal's Sagrario Paniagua. Sagrario Paniagua was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 10th match minute, CD Municipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Ferran to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 11 minutes, Frank Peletier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. France's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Peletier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sagrario Paniagua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Peletier in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, CD Municipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cedro Villaelrriego to maneuver through the defense. When Camille Baume came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the France fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camille Baume couldn't finish the play. Frank Peletier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sagrario Paniagua having to interfere. If Frank Peletier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Meruelo hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Aquiles Pavieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxime Durand having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Aquiles Pavieta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Maxime Durand was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. France's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by David Barbier in the 40th minute. After taking down the ball on France's corner David Barbier fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sagrario Paniagua quite easily take care of the ball. 42 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Camille Baume came free, but Sagrario Paniagua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Pavieta in the 51st minute of play forced France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Frank Peletier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Camille Baume scored 1-2 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sagrario Paniagua, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st minute, Frank Peletier made a precise shot to the right of Sagrario Paniagua. CD Municipal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in CD Municipal's zone, Camille Baume stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sagrario Paniagua came out of the goal and Camille Baume tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goalkeeper Sagrario Paniagua had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Peletier. A throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game was made by Jeraldo Ascazua with Aquiles Pavieta as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After a rather tough play, France's Maxence Durand got a free kick in the 74th minute. After a defensive mix-up in CD Municipal's zone, Camille Baume stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sagrario Paniagua came out of the goal and Camille Baume tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ospin Leiro was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 81 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Ospin Leiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maxence Durand's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sagrario Paniagua read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Camille Baume succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 86th playminute. When Camille Baume came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the France fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camille Baume couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded France left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CD Municipal.
