With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jiang Gang in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jiang Gang, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After the first half Hungary were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
