An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Tschida in the 77th minute of play forced Turkey's goalkeeper Cankut Wakabayashi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans-Jürgen Pötscher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Dos Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The audience was convinced that Zé Dos Reis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hans-Jürgen Pötscher was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Turkey would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
