In the 9th minute Alejandro Martxelin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sacit Budak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Capo de Provincia's goal looked a bit too open when Wout Weghorst came free, but Héctor Barra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ersen Cakir struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Héctor Barra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1903 Barranspor ☪. 1903 Barranspor ☪'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ersen Cakir in the 23rd minute. When Qiao Qi fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capo de Provincia's protests and gave Qiao Qi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of 1903 Barranspor ☪ booed when Capo de Provincia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Qiao Qi didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Qiao Qi in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by 1903 Barranspor ☪'s Edu Gonçalves. After 45 played minutes Capo de Provincia got a freekick which was hit by Qiao Qi. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wout Weghorst made a kick off. Héctor Barra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wout Weghorst, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After some careless play in the 1903 Barranspor ☪ defense, Alejandro Martxelin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sacit Budak. The 1903 Barranspor ☪ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sacit Budak should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ertuğrul Gazi in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Héctor Barra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Héctor Barra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ertuğrul Gazi in the 82nd minute of play. 1903 Barranspor ☪ were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Capo de Provincia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ertuğrul Gazi took the corner. Edu Gonçalves hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Edu Gonçalves fired away a sharp free kick straight at the goal. It looked like it might be really tough for the goalie to handle, but the shot went into the stands to the left of Héctor Barra. After a defensive mix-up in Capo de Provincia's zone, Ertuğrul Gazi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Héctor Barra came out of the goal and Ertuğrul Gazi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Héctor Barra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ertuğrul Gazi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ertuğrul Gazi in the 95th minute of play forced Capo de Provincia's goalkeeper Héctor Barra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
