The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Grzegorz Olszewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mete Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sixten Bokelund got free with Ernesto Emmanuel in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Grzegorz Olszewski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benito Naldo's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. In the 13th minute Sparta LKS were awarded a corner. Lech Glozor went to the cornerflag to take it. When Gwidon Harasimowicz fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sparta LKS's protests and gave Gwidon Harasimowicz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Gwidon Harasimowicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Sparta LKS's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Naldo came free, but Grzegorz Olszewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Madison booed when Sparta LKS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaias Rojas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Mete Gol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Sparta LKS getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Marko Vooro hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sixten Bokelund in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto Emmanuel saved Madison from getting behind. Cristobal Chumo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 53rd minute Marko Vooro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Emmanuel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grzegorz Olszewski made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Mete Gol sent off a good shot on target. Ás Ronaldo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Grzegorz Olszewski came out and tried to block the shot, but Ás Ronaldo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 60th minute. Ás Ronaldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sparta LKS's Marko Vooro in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Madison's goalie prevented a goal. In the 68th match minute, Sparta LKS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radowit Osielski to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixten Bokelund in the 70th minute of play forced Madison's goalkeeper Ernesto Emmanuel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grzegorz Olszewski was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Ás Ronaldo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ás Ronaldo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. If Marko Vooro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernesto Emmanuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Czerny in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Sparta LKS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kacper Hazard to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Tymoteusz Buczko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the match, Madison's Bartosz Salamon broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Madison supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Madison would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
