A wasted opportunity for Madison. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Alzamendi got free with Ernesto Emmanuel in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mete Gol in the 6th minute of play forced Saco FC's goalkeeper Phillip Glerum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Saco FC defense, Mete Gol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Phillip Glerum. The Saco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Phillip Glerum should have stopped the shot. In the 10th match minute, Saco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Cordera to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Madison booed when Saco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xinaro Iranzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Phillip Glerum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ás Ronaldo in the 19th minute of play. In the 22ndth minute of the game Mete Gol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saco FC's Phillip Glerum was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Ernesto Emmanuel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Saco FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chris Dhaussy in the 24th minute. Peter-Jan De Brouwer hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. If Mete Gol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. From a short distance, Madison's Ás Ronaldo, in the 58th minute, tried to place the ball behind Phillip Glerum, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Phillip Glerum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Oihan in the 60th minute of the match. When Denis Cordera fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saco FC's protests and gave Denis Cordera a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes Saco FC got a freekick which was hit by Denis Cordera. 68 minutes into the match, Saco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ás Ronaldo came free, but Phillip Glerum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phillip Glerum stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Oihan's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Ernesto Emmanuel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter-Jan De Brouwer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th match minute, Madison was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Oihan to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes Ás Ronaldo rounded Saco FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Saco FC's zone, Ás Ronaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phillip Glerum came out of the goal and Ás Ronaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Saco FC's Phillip Glerum got control of the ball when Mete Gol tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 91st minute Ás Ronaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phillip Glerum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mete Gol charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mete Gol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Madison getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Mete Gol hit a great ball. Madison's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
