After the first half 1903 Barranspor ☪ were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rd minute, Wout Weghorst ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Şenol Güneş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ertuğrul Gazi in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Ertuğrul Gazi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-8. Şenol Güneş was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ertuğrul Gazi in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Şenol Güneş prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
