A well-hit corner resulted in Adolfo Gipuzkoa heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Federico Jaizki made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Adolfo Gipuzkoa sent off a good shot on target. Saco FC's Phillip Glerum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maksymilian Kisielka in the 34th minute of play. Federico Jaizki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Alzamendi in the 35th minute. A hard shot by Chris Dhaussy from long distance, 42 minutes into the match, got Federico Jaizki's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Phillip Glerum stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maksymilian Kisielka's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antonio Alzamendi was the one to do the kick off.
