A sloppy throw-in by Wilfredo Harri in the 4th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Segundo Hanot. Gustavo-Hernán Egoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 6th minute, Wilfredo Harri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ovidio Ritchie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustavo-Hernán Egoi went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gustavo-Hernán Egoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ovidio Ritchie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustavo-Hernán Egoi ran back to his position shaking his head. Ovidio Ritchie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo-Hernán Egoi in the 13th minute of the match. Ovidio Ritchie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo-Hernán Egoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo-Hernán Egoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ovidio Ritchie having to make a save. Gustavo-Hernán Egoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Ritchie having to interfere. PoWer SC 2K5's Ovidio Ritchie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Ochoa in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Gustavo-Hernán Egoi made a precise shot to the right of Ovidio Ritchie. PoWer SC 2K5's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Gustavo-Hernán Egoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo-Hernán Egoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidio Ritchie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The PoWer SC 2K5 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabian Magath was the one to do the kick off. Pedro Ochoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Ritchie having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Gustavo-Hernán Egoi notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of PoWer SC 2K5's Ovidio Ritchie. Ovidio Ritchie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kepa Arrizabalaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Magath in the 58th minute of the match. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Gustavo-Hernán Egoi got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Bengt-Arne Åberg was substituted for Gustavo-Hernán Egoi. Ke Xun scored 0-5 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ovidio Ritchie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Ochoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Ritchie having to interfere. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka made a substitution. Leon Trotskiy replaced Iker Eneko. Wilfredo Harri hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Ovidio Ritchie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Ochoa in the 78th minute of play. With a little luck, PoWer SC 2K5's Ovidio Ritchie got control of the ball when Bengt-Arne Åberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, PoWer SC 2K5's Wofgang Bordorf got a free kick in the 81st minute. 86 minutes into the game, PoWer SC 2K5's Fabian Magath nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kepa Arrizabalaga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Bengt-Arne Åberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ovidio Ritchie having to make a save. The Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
