Gabriel Ascaso was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Bruno Capello capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bruno Capello really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Spain from getting a goal against them. Gabriel Ascaso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Castro in the 9th minute of the match. Cipriano Castro took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gabriel Ascaso. Gabriel Ascaso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After 12 played minutes Los Trip got a freekick which was hit by José Augusto Peres. 14 minutes into the match, Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Capello. After having played for 20 minutes, David Aranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spain's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Aranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agustín Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adria Bielsa in the 23rd minute of the match. When Bruno Capello came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Los Trip fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Capello couldn't finish the play. If David Aranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by CJ Asensio during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Spain booed when Los Trip was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. CJ Asensio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pau Herrero in the 35th minute of play. Pau Herrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Los Trip's Agustín Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adria Bielsa in the 43rd minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pau Herrero was the one to do the kick off. Agustín Rossi made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Adria Bielsa sent off a good shot on target. If Pau Herrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Spain's Pau Herrero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Agustín Rossi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Capello in the 57th minute of play forced Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Los Trip's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Aranda. The supporters of Spain booed when Los Trip was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Rumaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of Spain booed when Los Trip was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Rumaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 75 played minutes, Spain's Adria Bielsa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Agustín Rossi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Spain reached it. In the 76th minute of the match, Pau Herrero got a very nice opportunity to score, but Agustín Rossi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Spain were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Los Trip's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jon Cubero took the corner. The corner ended in Sergio Ruiz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Los Trip's Agustín Rossi did a great save. In the 82nd minute Pau Herrero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Gabriel Ascaso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
