Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Edward Vanderstraeten made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of FC Iecēni booed when Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nigel Devos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Piotr Tworek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marek Hamšík got free with Casper Claes in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 9 played minutes FC Iecēni got a freekick which was hit by Olavs Eliass. In the 10th minute Yves Dervaux shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piotr Tworek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 minutes, Edward Vanderstraeten made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC Iecēni's Piotr Tworek tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viesturs Pilāns in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th match minute, Belgium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lenny Clocheret to maneuver through the defense. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viesturs Pilāns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Piotr Tworek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Piotr Tworek was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The throw-in from Olafs Buncis in the 43rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Belgium's Lenny Clocheret. Edward Vanderstraeten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Uvis Svitiņš recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. The FC Iecēni players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Belgium were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marek Hamšík made a kick off. FC Iecēni's Piotr Tworek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 52nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Edward Vanderstraeten kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Piotr Tworek. That made the score 0-3 in the 54 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Edward Vanderstraeten managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgium's supporters rose to their feet, but Edward Vanderstraeten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Piotr Tworek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piotr Tworek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 68th minute. The audience was convinced that Viesturs Pilāns's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casper Claes was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Belgium's goalie and right to Viktors Behmans. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Belgium's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Piotr Tworek having to make a save. Edward Vanderstraeten succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 75th playminute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Piotr Tworek in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marek Hamšík in the 82nd minute of the match. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Piotr Tworek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olafs Buncis kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Belgium eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
