Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Daustad. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fridtjof Ferstad in the 11th minute of the match. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Fridtjof Ferstad tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Alberigo Mancini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jo Øverås prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fridtjof Ferstad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play.
