After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Dobromir Pierz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. A collision led to SHADOW getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Boguslaw Dytrych hit a great ball. Wim Wilmes scored 1-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adnan Yenal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lars Meesters kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SHADOW's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adnan Yenal came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute of the match SHADOW got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Witold Pacholewski ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on SHADOW's corner Jaroslaw Charlap fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arnout Reekers quite easily take care of the ball. SHADOW's Adnan Yenal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Meesters in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match, Tobiasz Zbytniewski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnout Reekers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Boguslaw Dytrych kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Dobromir Pierz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobiasz Zbytniewski in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute of the match, Tobiasz Zbytniewski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnout Reekers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Edgar Hatman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Waclaw Waselewicz's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waclaw Waselewicz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th minute, Waclaw Waselewicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 62nd minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, SHADOW's Adnan Yenal got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 70th play minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Adnan Yenal. 1-2. After 73 played minutes SHADOW got a freekick which was hit by Waclaw Waselewicz. In the 74th minute, Wim Wilmes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Adnan Yenal, passed just outside the right post. 76 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Tobiasz Zbytniewski came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SHADOW's Adnan Yenal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save SHADOW from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Adnan Yenal threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by SHADOW's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. 96 minutes into the game, SHADOW's Dobromir Pierz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
