Khalid Kennedy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calisto Abril, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. Orti Sánchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khalid Kennedy having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, England's goal looked a bit too open when Calisto Abril came free, but Khalid Kennedy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The nice shot from Orti Sánchez in the 11thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Khalid Kennedy had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After 13 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Seth Young. Fillos de Breogán's Gelacio Campomanes got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caelan Hayes hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. When Caelan Hayes fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored England's protests and gave Caelan Hayes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, Caelan Hayes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute, Domeka Paredes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Issac Dawson kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Fillos de Breogán's Garibaldo Quijana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Cox in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Fillos de Breogán's Calisto Abril dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 37 minutes into the game, England's Micah Macdonald nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Garibaldo Quijana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After having played for 39 minutes, Micah Macdonald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. England's supporters crossed their fingers, but Micah Macdonald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kyle Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kyle Cox was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orti Sánchez in the 52nd minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Khalid Kennedy came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Fillos de Breogán's Orti Sánchez. But to his dismay, Orti Sánchez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orti Sánchez in the 60th minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to England getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Caelan Hayes hit a great ball. In the 67th match minute, England was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Gallagher to maneuver through the defense. After 69 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Gallagher. In the 73rd minute of the match, Micah Macdonald got a very nice opportunity to score, but Garibaldo Quijana was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience cheered when Gelacio Campomanes's long shot passed Khalid Kennedy's right side. It was 3-1, 75 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, England's Garibaldo Quijana threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kyle Cox, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 90th match minute, Fillos de Breogán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duardo Montero to maneuver through the defense. After 95 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Cooper Thompson. When Gelacio Campomanes came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Fillos de Breogán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gelacio Campomanes couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fillos de Breogán fans cheered their team off the field, for while England had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
