The supporters of !HalaMadrid! booed when Esmeraldas S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martinez Cines didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zachariasz Ptaszek made a kick off. If İbrahim Volkan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by !HalaMadrid!'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Niki Borda was slow to take the kick. During this time Esmeraldas S.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Damian Maftei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Santio having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Dariusz Fenigsen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aguinaga Nebot was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Ramos Marron made in the 63rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Martinez Cines. With a little luck, !HalaMadrid!'s Ruperto Santio got control of the ball when Martinez Cines tried to sneak it across the goal line. !HalaMadrid!'s Ruperto Santio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Maftei in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Esmeraldas S.C.'s Ramos Marron got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the match was over Esmeraldas S.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than !HalaMadrid! throughout the match.
