Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 8 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 11th minute of play forced Palmeiras's goalkeeper Régis de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Palmeiras's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Régis de Queirós came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustin Bungeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Palmeiras were awarded a corner. Tarcisio Reis went to the cornerflag to take it. 叶星邦 made a great header on Palmeiras's corner, it was just that Netherlands's Arnout Reekers managed to reach the ball for a save. Régis de Queirós came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Wim Wilmes took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Régis de Queirós. Régis de Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 27th minute, Iustin Bungeanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 35 minutes Palmeiras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. Régis de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Eikelkamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 40 minutes into the match, David Eikelkamp notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Palmeiras's Régis de Queirós. Régis de Queirós was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iustin Bungeanu was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egbert Nijveldt to maneuver through the defense. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Régis de Queirós made a huge save. Palmeiras's Régis de Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Palmeiras from getting a goal against them. Régis de Queirós made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonardo Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Palmeiras's Régis de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Meesters in the 76th minute of play. After 77 minutes Palmeiras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Régis de Queirós quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Leonardo Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Régis de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Régis de Queirós despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
