Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Fonticoba, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Jumentus's Cássio Velasco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. That made the score 2-0 after 18 minutes of play. Adriano Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladeta Jovic in the 23rd minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, Eliézer Bueno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Hélio Corrêa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hélio Corrêa really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. In the 37th minute, Eliézer Bueno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 40th minute, Eliézer Bueno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jumentus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. 45 minutes into the match, Luisão Mota dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic, 7-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cássio Velasco made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sreten Popovic got free with Adriano Penha in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 55 minutes into the match, Cássio Velasco notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Jumentus's Wambasther Ferdinand was substituted for Glauco Faria. 91 minutes into the game, Cássio Velasco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 12-0. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
