Charlie Haeger tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Hannes Blomqvist. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 11th minute. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svante Clementsson in the 16th minute of play. Hannes Blomqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Doctors of Ophtalmology's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Major Barna came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Major Barna couldn't finish the play. Svante Clementsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Major Barna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hannes Blomqvist was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. 38 minutes into the match, Doctors of Ophtalmology's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Hannes Blomqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Hungary booed when Doctors of Ophtalmology was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronald Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Svante Clementsson to make the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Doctors of Ophtalmology's Svante Clementsson made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fodor Daniel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hannes Blomqvist having to interfere. Hannes Blomqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takacs Tibor in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th minute Sven Ekberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hannes Blomqvist made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 66th minute of play forced Doctors of Ophtalmology's goalkeeper Hannes Blomqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doctors of Ophtalmology's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Antal Valentin scored to the left of an out of position Hannes Blomqvist, making the score, 2-3. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Hannes Blomqvist made a huge save. 80 minutes into the match, Doctors of Ophtalmology's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Hannes Blomqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 played minutes Doctors of Ophtalmology got a freekick which was hit by Per-Arne Magnusson. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Svante Clementsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Doctors of Ophtalmology's supporters rose to their feet, but Svante Clementsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fodor Daniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Takacs Tibor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Szekeres Tamas's late challenge caught a Doctors of Ophtalmology's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Szekeres Tamas helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Szekeres Tamas. Doctors of Ophtalmology's Hannes Blomqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 94th minute of play.
