Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the kick off in the first half of the match. 2 minutes into the match, United 11 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Michel Biörnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 4 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michel Biörnberg. United 11 FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wim Wilmes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Egbert Nijveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 14th minute of play forced United 11 FC's goalkeeper Michel Biörnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of United 11 FC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathijn Doctor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Şerif Kutlualp in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute United 11 FC were awarded a corner. Lars Runeberg went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on United 11 FC's corner Silvio Ham fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arnout Reekers quite easily take care of the ball. 20 minutes into the match, United 11 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Michel Biörnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michel Biörnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 22nd minute of play. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Şerif Kutlualp's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Şerif Kutlualp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Arnout Reekers was a little too slow when Şerif Kutlualp got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 1-1. If David Eikelkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michel Biörnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Eikelkamp in the 43rd minute of play. After 45 played minutes United 11 FC got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Arne Dalman. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 46th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Şerif Kutlualp made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 55th minute of play forced United 11 FC's goalkeeper Michel Biörnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Netherlands's David Eikelkamp was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Michel Biörnberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Michel Biörnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 59th minute of play. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 60th minute. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Michel Biörnberg quite easily take care of the ball. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Michel Biörnberg threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 66 minutes into the match, United 11 FC's goalkeeper Michel Biörnberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquiles Tróia in the 68th minute of the match. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Tróia in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in United 11 FC's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michel Biörnberg came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michel Biörnberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Wim Wilmes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
