With a little luck, COPO CHEIO's Lam Para got control of the ball when Chiriboga Campuzano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lam Para stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tin Santamaria's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tin Santamaria in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lam Para prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Filipe Meirelles might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ortíz Relloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filipe Meirelles ran back to his position shaking his head. 20 minutes into the match, CANTERANOS DMS's Tin Santamaria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lam Para narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of COPO CHEIO booed when CANTERANOS DMS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quiróz Olaondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ortíz Relloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ortíz Relloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Tião Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute of the match Angel Piñera sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lam Para skillfully saved the ball. Lam Para made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tin Santamaria in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, COPO CHEIO's Tião Lucas got a free kick in the 40th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tin Santamaria to make the kick off. After 73 minutes, Nildo do Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the COPO CHEIO and the CANTERANOS DMS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of CANTERANOS DMS booed when COPO CHEIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nildo do Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 74 played minutes, CANTERANOS DMS's Angel Piñera shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lam Para came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CANTERANOS DMS reached it. Lam Para stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tin Santamaria's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute CANTERANOS DMS were awarded a corner. Angel Piñera went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Angel Piñera almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but COPO CHEIO's Lam Para did a great save. After having played for 78 minutes, Filipe Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. COPO CHEIO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Meirelles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to COPO CHEIO getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Filipe Meirelles hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, COPO CHEIO's goal looked a bit too open when Tin Santamaria came free, but Lam Para reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Tin Santamaria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lam Para was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. When Nildo do Valle came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the COPO CHEIO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nildo do Valle couldn't finish the play. A collision led to COPO CHEIO getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Valdomiro Braga hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. CANTERANOS DMS had won after a very even match.
