With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Benitez in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Francisco Leme saved Ique Football Club from getting behind. Albert Turdeanu's late challenge caught a Ique Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albert Turdeanu helped the player get up and apologised. After 18 played minutes Buffalo Timişoara got a freekick which was hit by Albert Turdeanu. 20 minutes into the match, Ique Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Benitez came free, but João Francisco Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Ique Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aimar Aimar to maneuver through the defense. João Francisco Leme came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Buffalo Timişoara's Adrian Zbora. But to his dismay, Adrian Zbora quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 33rd minute Albert Turdeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Francisco Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 38 minutes on the clock, Alin Şantău commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Buffalo Timişoara:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ique Football Club:s goal. Buffalo Timişoara:s Hunor Csapó showed great skill when he stopped Aimar Aimar:s penalty. 2-1 came in the 41st minute when Aimar Aimar all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Hunor Csapó. In the 44th minute Aimar Aimar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hunor Csapó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Buffalo Timişoara booed when Ique Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augusto Benitez to make the kick off. Adrian Zbora who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of João Francisco Leme when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice moves Orhan Ortanca could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which João Francisco Leme however easily saved by the left post. Hunor Csapó showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aimar Aimar in the 74th minute of the match. Adrian Zbora blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Francisco Leme having to make a save. Ique Football Club's Roberto Souza was substituted for Hélder Bueno. Buffalo Timişoara made a substitution. Alin Sbârcea replaced Victor Măgherușan. Buffalo Timişoara's Bogdan Noworolnik was substituted for Albert Turdeanu. When Ique Football Club's Aimar Aimar in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Buffalo Timişoara's goalie prevented a goal.
