KS Luxik Ruda Śląska's Iwo Dombroski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnold McDecland in the 30th minute of play. 1948 MKS were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after KS Luxik Ruda Śląska's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. The crowd rose to their feet as KS Luxik Ruda Śląska's Carlos Carnicero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ter Stegen. That made the score 1-4 after 68 minutes of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iwo Dombroski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ter Stegen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naci Kac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
