In the 10th minute, Torrey Molloy made a precise shot to the right of Kim Hänninen. Fragleses's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zlatko Ibrahimović got free with Ter Stegen in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Torrey Molloy might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kim Hänninen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Torrey Molloy ran back to his position shaking his head. Kim Hänninen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torrey Molloy in the 16th minute of the match. When Torrey Molloy came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the 1948 MKS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torrey Molloy couldn't finish the play. Wiktor Gomolka hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Torrey Molloy scored 0-3 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kim Hänninen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fragleses's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arnold McDecland was slow to take the kick. During this time 1948 MKS's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on 1948 MKS's corner Arnold McDecland fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kim Hänninen quite easily take care of the ball. Fábio Salgueiro hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Ter Stegen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zlatko Ibrahimović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Fragleses defense, Torrey Molloy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kim Hänninen. The Fragleses fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kim Hänninen should have stopped the shot. Torrey Molloy might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kim Hänninen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Torrey Molloy ran back to his position shaking his head. Kim Hänninen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Torrey Molloy went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. After the first half 1948 MKS were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Zlatko Ibrahimović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 63 minutes into the game, Adam Zawaski threw the ball into play from the sideline. 1948 MKS's Fábio Salgueiro quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Kim Hänninen made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Torrey Molloy sent off a good shot on target. Ter Stegen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zlatko Ibrahimović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rudy Lukas hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Zlatko Ibrahimović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 74 played minutes 1948 MKS got a freekick which was hit by Torrey Molloy. Torrey Molloy took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kim Hänninen. Kim Hänninen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. 1948 MKS's Rudy Lukas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Adam Zawaski, made in the 82nd minute of the game. A collision led to Fragleses getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Adam Zawaski hit a great ball. In the 84th match minute, Fragleses was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Zawaski to maneuver through the defense. If Torrey Molloy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ter Stegen came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Fragleses's Grzegorz Rasiak. But to his dismay, Grzegorz Rasiak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Beagan Colwell's late challenge caught a Fragleses's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beagan Colwell helped the player get up and apologised. Beagan Colwell hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Torrey Molloy managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1948 MKS's supporters rose to their feet, but Torrey Molloy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kim Hänninen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The 1948 MKS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing 1948 MKS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
