Fabian Niemojewski made in the 85th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Norbert Major immediately put the ball in play. When Anselmo Doris fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pogoń Szczecin's protests and gave Anselmo Doris a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Pogoń Szczecin got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Doris. Edgar Dres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Conrado Donzel in the 89th minute. The Pogoń Szczecin supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pogoń Szczecin would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
