Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Amedeo Recio made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Coviolo's goalkeeper Pär Are, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Germany fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 6th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Tommy Kahn, was totally fooled by Coviolo's Ercole Carulli, who 8 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 13th minute of play forced Coviolo's goalkeeper Pär Are to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germany's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frank Sachs in the 15th minute. After taking down the ball on Germany's corner Frank Sachs fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pär Are quite easily take care of the ball. In the 16th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Krakouer to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Coviolo getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Tacito Assenso hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the game, Alberto Frezza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tommy Kahn. Alberto Frezza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Domenico Olmi during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Germany booed when Coviolo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domenico Olmi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albin Holweck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coviolo's goalkeeper Pär Are, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 36 minutes of play, Germany's Frank Sachs made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pär Are was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Sachs to strike the kick off in the second half. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Coviolo's Alex Marcon got a free kick in the 55th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tacito Assenso during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pär Are took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amedeo Recio scored 3-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pär Are was a little too slow when Albin Holweck got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 3-2. Pär Are took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albin Holweck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pär Are saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Pär Are made a huge save. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Buffone in the 83rd minute of the match. A collision led to Coviolo getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Tacito Assenso hit a great ball. Albin Holweck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albin Holweck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Pär Are tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
