Despite this Moisés Arruda quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Italy's Siricio Liotta managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Luiz Fernando de Lara in the 9 minute of the game. In the 13th minute Italy were awarded a corner. Sigfrido Auletta went to the cornerflag to take it. Italy's Sigfrido Auletta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Moisés Arruda in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 44th minute, Sigfrido Auletta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moisés Arruda was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Poetass FC's Cleiton Carioca got a free kick in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zaccheo Andolina was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Gerson Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Italy's Porziano Marchitelli got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Poetass FC's Moisés Arruda got control of the ball when Zaccheo Andolina tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 57 minutes, Gerson Carneiro made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Italy's Flavio Vittori tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The throw-in from Luiz Fernando de Lara in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. When Italy's Zaccheo Andolina in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Poetass FC's goalie prevented a goal. Zaccheo Andolina received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Moisés Arruda came out and tried to block the shot, but Zaccheo Andolina slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 64th minute. Poetass FC made a substitution. Nildo de Souza replaced Gerson Carneiro. The Italy fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Italy's Zaccheo Andolina looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Poetass FC's Váldson Miranda was substituted for Cleiton Carioca. Poetass FC made a substitution. Celsinho Montenegro replaced Cássio Maia. A sloppy throw-in by Luiz Fernando de Lara in the 73rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Italy's Siricio Liotta. 74 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's goalkeeper Moisés Arruda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zaccheo Andolina. 77 minutes into the game, Luiz Fernando de Lara threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Siricio Liotta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Moisés Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Moisés Arruda. Moisés Arruda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. Adriano Curto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Fernando de Lara made in the 92nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Kalle Billberg however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nildo de Souza in the 93rd minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moisés Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Curto in the 95th minute of play. The Poetass FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Italy's performance. The match ended with a win for Italy.
