The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladislao Sazon got free with Fodor Daniel in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Takacs Tibor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Ladislao Sazon sent off a good shot on target. Major Barna kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Ladislao Sazon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Fodor Daniel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Sazon in the 65th minute of the match. The The Cavern Club fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
