After taking down the ball on Hungary's corner Antal Valentin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mehmet Ediz Ulutay quite easily take care of the ball. Fodor Daniel was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Muzaffer Sami capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Muzaffer Sami really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 21 minutes, Denis Nisipeanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 61 PIMMS FC and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, 61 PIMMS FC's Denis Nisipeanu got a free kick in the 21st minute. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Antal Valentin sped through 61 PIMMS FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mehmet Ediz Ulutay. Muzaffer Sami blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fodor Daniel having to make a save. Gökhun Tokuz hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Balazs Lajos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Mehmet Ediz Ulutay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Hungary's Major Barna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mehmet Ediz Ulutay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Takacs Tibor came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Takacs Tibor couldn't finish the play. 61 PIMMS FC's Mehmet Ediz Ulutay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 42nd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Mehmet Ediz Ulutay in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muzaffer Sami in the 64th minute of play. Mehmet Ediz Ulutay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antal Valentin in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the game, Johnny Wiklund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 61 PIMMS FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hungary the free kick. Major Barna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, 61 PIMMS FC's Gökhun Tokuz got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 90 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Vörös Henrik. 91 minutes into the match, Muzaffer Sami had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Muzaffer Sami was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The supporters of Hungary booed when 61 PIMMS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Costacurta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 PIMMS FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Hungary had controlled the match.
