In the 14th minute, Mikolaj Giertych made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Mikolaj Giertych's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Wilson Amorim skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

55 minutes into the match, KS Olimpia Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Waldemar Cwynar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caetano Moreira got free with Waldemar Cwynar in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute, Mikolaj Giertych ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 65th match minute, KS Olimpia Warszawa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Sesse to maneuver through the defense. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Portugal's Viriato Moura in the 66th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Waldemar Cwynar was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for KS Olimpia Warszawa through an amazing save. In the 74thth minute of the game Caetano Moreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KS Olimpia Warszawa's Waldemar Cwynar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Pimentel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. KS Olimpia Warszawa made a substitution. Jack Sugar replaced Lachezar Tetevenski. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Emilio Sesse in the 82 minute of the game. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sharma Sharma in the 89th minute of play. Caetano Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldemar Cwynar having to interfere. If Bartolomeu Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of KS Olimpia Warszawa booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waldemar Cwynar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 99th minute of the match.
