An unexpectedly hard shot by Ainis Naudzuns in the 17th minute of play forced Hernen Bacon's goalkeeper Kacper Gruchacz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dirk-Jan Mathijsen kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Peter Borg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Borg got free with Olo Marcos in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hirving Lozano to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Hirving Lozano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Olo Marcos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Harm Kleinman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olo Marcos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Caneira in the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute of the match, Fatih-Sultan Mehmet got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kacper Gruchacz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 76 played minutes Hernen Bacon got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Stubbe. In the 82nd minute, Peter Borg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jaap Sloedingen fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bergeikers's protests and gave Jaap Sloedingen a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 played minutes Bergeikers got a freekick which was hit by Jaap Sloedingen. 86 minutes into the game, Joost Telkamp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bergeikers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hernen Bacon the free kick. The supporters of Hernen Bacon booed when Bergeikers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joost Telkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olo Marcos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Borg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hernen Bacon's Kacper Gruchacz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harm Kleinman in the 91st minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hernen Bacon fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bergeikers had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
