Toni Mauzer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Normando having to interfere. 8 minutes into the game, Patrik Terzic was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Croatia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Las Brisas FC the free kick. After 8 played minutes Croatia got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Terzic. When Felix Vasco fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Las Brisas FC's protests and gave Felix Vasco a yellow card for diving instead. Gerardo Fanuco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ilija Skugor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulino Pacorro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delmiro Quin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd match minute, Croatia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrik Terzic to maneuver through the defense. Ilija Skugor made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Paulino Pacorro sent off a good shot on target. Gerardo Fanuco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ilija Skugor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Teo Gudelj hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toni Mauzer struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Celedonio Normando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Croatia. In the 38th minute Delmiro Quin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neven Culina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nereo Evangelista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Delmiro Quin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gerardo Fanuco took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilija Skugor. Ilija Skugor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 60 minutes into the match, Delmiro Quin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ilija Skugor. Croatia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Delmiro Quin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Celedonio Normando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toni Mauzer in the 65th minute. Ilija Skugor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delmiro Quin's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmiro Quin in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Quin in the 72nd minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Gerardo Fanuco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Las Brisas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Fanuco, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Quin in the 81st minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eduard Kostelac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delmiro Quin in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilija Skugor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 89 minutes into the match, Damir Pongrac dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Celedonio Normando, 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Godofredo Abaunza during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd match minute, Las Brisas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godofredo Abaunza to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute Damir Pongrac managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Las Brisas FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
