Pueyrredón's Godofredo Bras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 11th minute of play. After some careless play in the C. S. D. Pueyrredón defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Godofredo Bras. The C. S. D. Pueyrredón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Godofredo Bras should have stopped the shot. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alejandro Berto in the 15th minute. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Alejandro Berto put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Arnout Reekers. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 22nd minute of play forced C. S. D. Pueyrredón's goalkeeper Godofredo Bras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teobaldo Rosario made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, one of Netherlands:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Rosario in the 56th minute of play. Godofredo Bras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 65th minute. C. S. D. Pueyrredón made a substitution. Roch Siekierka replaced Romulo Matia. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Godofredo Bras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after C. S. D. Fidel Gregory hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Halil İbrahim Yeltekin came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Halil İbrahim Yeltekin, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The supporters of Netherlands booed when C. S. D. Pueyrredón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Eutor didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Netherlands had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
