Guillermo Diagur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vilmar Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in The Potters's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guillermo Diagur came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Sachs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Franck Parfelt came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Vilmar Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Buster Langlet in the 27th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Vilmar Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vilmar Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vilmar Murillo got free with Tommy Kahn in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. In the 51st minute Franck Parfelt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 53 minutes, Frank Sachs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the The Potters players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Potters. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephen Schledermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Janik Vogt hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. 83 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Vilmar Murillo came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilmar Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Vilmar Murillo notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a left leg Guillermo Diagur saved The Potters from getting behind. After having played for 93 minutes, Bertel Methling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Potters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bertel Methling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. The Potters fully deserved thier win.
