Modesto Oro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 14th minute of play. Cuervo Loco FC's Modesto Oro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 14th minute of play. Carl Beck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. In the 18th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Oro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match, Lautaro Martínez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnout Reekers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lautaro Martínez in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. David Eikelkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 24th minute of play forced Cuervo Loco FC's goalkeeper Modesto Oro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Martínez came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Modesto Oro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 36th minute of the match. Egbert Nijveldt's late challenge caught a Cuervo Loco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Netherlands's Lars Meesters was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Modesto Oro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off.
