Nikola Ribić hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Lykaon Belesis took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nelsinho Leite. Nelsinho Leite dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Michel Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Michel Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Michel Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Leite having to interfere. If Michel Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 minutes Vascogoianiense FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Makareus Poulakis who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Quique Meckes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nelsinho Leite quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 39th minute of the match, Matheus Neto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tobias Øverland saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 45th minute, Sidnei Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Santos in the 47th minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Nelsinho Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michel Santos was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Vascogoianiense FC got a freekick which was hit by Dorian Quirino. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Lykaon Belesis managed to get in a good position for a shot. APOELHELLAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Lykaon Belesis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelsinho Leite breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Michel Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nelsinho Leite having to make a save. In the 59th minute João Pirani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Øverland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 played minutes Vascogoianiense FC got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei Leão. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pirani in the 63rd minute of play forced APOELHELLAS's goalkeeper Tobias Øverland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Falcão de Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vascogoianiense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Falcão de Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. APOELHELLAS's Tobias Øverland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Tepedino in the 76th minute of play. If Michel Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of APOELHELLAS booed when Vascogoianiense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorian Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Aglauros Sakellariou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, APOELHELLAS's Kroios Gomatos got a free kick in the 94th minute. Sidnei Leão made in the 96th minute of the game a quick throw-in and 康渊霆 immediately put the ball in play. The APOELHELLAS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
