Selmo Illescas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 44th minute of play forced demir idmanyurdu's goalkeeper Selmo Illescas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Selmo Illescas having to interfere. With a little luck, Hungary's Fodor Daniel got control of the ball when Ulvi Nizami tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Antal Valentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Selmo Illescas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Ilgaz Taner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hungary eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
