With a little luck, U21 Paraguay's Evarado Ibias got control of the ball when Samuil Bibin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 9th minute Velcho Tzintzov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evarado Ibias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuil Bibin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Evarado Ibias made a huge save. Evarado Ibias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Velislav Tzapov in the 19th minute of play. Evarado Ibias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Velcho Tzintzov in the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Velcho Tzintzov in the 25th minute of play forced U21 Paraguay's goalkeeper Evarado Ibias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Paraguay's Xeromo Atauri quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Galabin Kalinkov, made in the 30th minute of the game. Evarado Ibias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Velcho Tzintzov in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Paraguay's goalkeeper Evarado Ibias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Velislav Tzapov got free with Evarado Ibias in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 46 played minutes U21 Bulgaria got a freekick which was hit by Vanko Katzarski. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oskitz Cadenas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gorbea Sasiain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gorbea Sasiain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Bulgaria's zone, Oskitz Cadenas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stoyadin Shahov came out of the goal and Oskitz Cadenas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. U21 Paraguay's Evarado Ibias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuil Bibin in the 74th minute of play. When Eliazar Salantes fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Paraguay's protests and gave Eliazar Salantes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th minute, Eliazar Salantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Stoyadin Shahov managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when U21 Paraguay's Oskitz Cadenas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Evarado Ibias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuil Bibin in the 79th minute of play. Evarado Ibias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Velcho Tzintzov, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The supporters of U21 Bulgaria booed when U21 Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Gonzalez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute of the match Trifon Patrikov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evarado Ibias showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
