Paraguay's Ariel Balboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Hautot in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonas Hautot was the one to do the kick off. Ariel Balboa came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Austria's Jonas Hautot. But to his dismay, Jonas Hautot quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Ariel Balboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 67th minute, Hugo Quintana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Austria's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Guillelme Lomas scored to the left of an out of position Arne Grabner, making the score, 8-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Austria fans cheered their team off the field, for while Paraguay had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
