Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Albuquerque in the 41st minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

60 minutes in the game Kees Mooiweer did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Gijsbert ter Kruimer. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. KaoS Futbol Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jacob Albuquerque took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. KaoS Futbol Club's Pierluigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Eikelkamp in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Eikelkamp in the 80th minute of play forced KaoS Futbol Club's goalkeeper Pierluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
