Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 10th minute. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sérgio Perez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Sérgio Perez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Classe A Futebol Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. The Classe A Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Classe A Futebol Clube's Diego Ribas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sérgio Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Ribas took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 32nd minute of play forced Classe A Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Sérgio Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's late challenge caught a Classe A Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gijsbert ter Kruimer helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a great ball. Diego Ribas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Ricciardo took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio Perez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Classe A Futebol Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Gijsbert ter Kruimer scored to the left of an out of position Sérgio Perez, making the score, 4-1. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Sérgio Perez threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lars Meesters, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lars Meesters kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Wim Wilmes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th minute, one of Netherlands:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Netherlands. Arnout Reekers had in the 90thth minute some difficulties stopping Haroldo Nascimento's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Haroldo Nascimento notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Classe A Futebol Clube were victorious despite being under pressure from Netherlands for much of the match.
