The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benito Dei during the 3rd minute. Miguel Remir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Cloarec having to interfere. 28 minutes in the game Léonard Laumond did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Martin Falaise. In the 37th minute, Serafin Haitz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nelson Cloarec. The goal made the score 1-0. O rey Iván's Bruno Ritchie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davy Giacomoni in the 45th minute of play. When Benito Dei was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 46 minutes had been played. Benito Dei kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Remir was the one to do the kick off. If Vinicio Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cayetano Sergi's late challenge caught a Formation Pure Lyonnaise's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cayetano Sergi helped the player get up and apologised. Nelson Cloarec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Remir in the 77th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaspard Letourneux during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
