Luiz Gustavo Negri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pepito Plasencia, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The attack was good, but when Pepito Plasencia in the 9th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Diogo Nóbregas short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Urbes Cenzano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 14th minute, Jonas Rezende ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Urbes Cenzano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Naldo Brito's late challenge caught a Club Puerto Quito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Naldo Brito helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute, Naldo Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Club Puerto Quito getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Sergio Piña hit a great ball. The long shot by Duarte Arósio in the 21st minute really tested Urbes Cenzano's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pepito Plasencia in the 27th minute of play forced Ique Football Club's goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diogo Nóbrega to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 50 minutes, Rodolfo Bonilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Puerto Quito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Bonilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 53rd minute, Arturo Azpiazu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Duarte Arósio struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Urbes Cenzano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ique Football Club. Rodolfo Bonilla hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute of the match Luciano Vasconcelos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Urbes Cenzano skillfully saved the ball. Urki Espino kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Urbes Cenzano came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Ique Football Club's Diogo Nóbrega. But to his dismay, Diogo Nóbrega quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Urbes Cenzano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diogo Nóbrega's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. In the 65th minute, Luís Guilherme Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Club Puerto Quito's Sergio Piña tried to score from far away in the 67th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Luiz Gustavo Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urki Espino in the 76th minute of the match. Urbes Cenzano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from César de Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 79 minutes Club Puerto Quito's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Duarte Arósio who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Duarte Arósio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Puerto Quito's Urbes Cenzano did a great save. When Ique Football Club's Diogo Nóbrega in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Puerto Quito's goalie prevented a goal. Vitin Martin hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Many of Club Puerto Quito's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Club Puerto Quito may have spent more time on the ball, but Ique Football Club were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
