Club Puerto Quito's Urbes Cenzano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Puerto Quito from getting a goal against them. Almeyra F.C.'s Elias Elorri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oswaldo Barrionuevo in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Urki Espino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Puerto Quito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 30 minutes into the game, Club Puerto Quito's Urki Espino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Club Puerto Quito:s Urbes Cenzano showed great skill when he stopped Roman Hernandez:s penalty. After a rather tough play, Club Puerto Quito's Sergio Piña got a free kick in the 44th minute. Elias Elorri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Bonilla in the 48th minute of the match.

Elias Elorri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Oswaldo Barrionuevo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute Pastor Bela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbes Cenzano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Oswaldo Barrionuevo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elias Elorri. Almeyra F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oswaldo Barrionuevo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Almeyra F.C.'s goalkeeper Elias Elorri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pepito Plasencia got free with Elias Elorri in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes into the game, Oswaldo Barrionuevo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Elias Elorri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Oswaldo Barrionuevo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elias Elorri was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Club Puerto Quito's Pepito Plasencia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-10. Elias Elorri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Club Puerto Quito played a much better game than Almeyra F.C. and deserved their victory. The Almeyra F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
