In the 3rd minute Pepito Plasencia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximilian Skoglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Real Calle booed when Club Puerto Quito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Barrionuevo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Real Calle's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Piña came free, but Maximilian Skoglund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Real Calle's Maximilian Skoglund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urki Espino in the 9th minute of play. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Oskar Blomqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Urbes Cenzano. Club Puerto Quito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oskar Blomqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 29th minute, Espiga Burgo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Real Calle's Börje Billström dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Real Calle's Maximilian Skoglund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Piña in the 33rd minute of play. Oskar Blomqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Urbes Cenzano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arturo Azpiazu charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arturo Azpiazu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Puerto Quito! The goalkeeper, Urbes Cenzano, was totally fooled by Real Calle's Eric Vester, who 45 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oskar Blomqvist was the one to do the kick off. If Börje Billström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 52 minutes, Rodolfo Bonilla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Puerto Quito and the Real Calle players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Ove Paulin in the 59th minute of play forced Club Puerto Quito's goalkeeper Urbes Cenzano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute Oswaldo Barrionuevo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximilian Skoglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Urbes Cenzano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Holmstedt in the 66th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Real Calle got a freekick which was hit by Jack Holmstedt. In the 71st minute of the match, Urki Espino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Maximilian Skoglund saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 72nd minute Oswaldo Barrionuevo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximilian Skoglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Real Calle's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Barrionuevo came free, but Maximilian Skoglund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Sergio Piña managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Puerto Quito's supporters rose to their feet, but Sergio Piña was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximilian Skoglund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 80 minutes into the game, Oswaldo Barrionuevo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Maximilian Skoglund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maximilian Skoglund didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 5-3. Jens-Ove Paulin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
