Carl Norberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Dalmu in the 8th minute of the match. Amador Aragones took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carl Norberg. Carl Norberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Peter Tunberg's late challenge caught a O rey Iván's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Tunberg helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of O rey Iván booed when Maltesholms FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Tunberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Augusto Burni came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the O rey Iván fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Burni couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Maltesholms FF defense, Teodoro Maura kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carl Norberg. The Maltesholms FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carl Norberg should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olle Söderquist during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Maltesholms FF's Olle Söderquist got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute Amador Aragones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl Norberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Olle Söderquist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teodoro Maura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Norberg having to interfere. Carl Norberg came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by O rey Iván's Benito Dei. But to his dismay, Benito Dei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The supporters of O rey Iván booed when Maltesholms FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Vennerkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, O rey Iván's Amador Aragones got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Nils Danielsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Ritchie having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Benito Dei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carl Norberg was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Maltesholms FF's Peter Tunberg got his second yellow card of the match in the 37th minute. The referee ordered Peter Tunberg off the ground. Benito Dei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Frisk was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Benito Dei suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. During the 55th minute of the match Olle Söderquist completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Olle Söderquist a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Aurelio Paio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carl Norberg having to make a save. 60 minutes into the match, Maltesholms FF's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Maura came free, but Carl Norberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. O rey Iván's Aurelio Paio got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
